Join me on the breathtaking Causeway Coast in the north of Ireland for 5 days of action packed photography exploring the rugged, raw beauty of this magnificent stretch of coastline. As a local photographer with extensive experience in these areas, I can provide valuable insights and guidance to help you capture beautiful images.

The Causeway Coast (also known as the Antrim Coast) is among the most iconic stretches of road in Ireland and the scenery is jaw-dropping - think dramatic coastal cliffs, sea arches, sandy beaches, cliff edge castles, a Unesco World Heritage Site and locations made famous by Game of Thrones!

On this workshop we’ll visit the most iconic locations Northern Ireland has to offer including the Giant’s Causeway, Dark Hedges, Ballintoy Harbour & Dunluce Castle - and we’ll have great fun along the way! I like to keep workshop groups small to enable a tailored approach - with only 6 spots available you’ll receive personal guidance and training.

For this workshop I’ve booked the charming Causeway Hotel, located right on the site of the Giant’s Causeway, so we’ll be based in the heart of the action. Each participant will have their own room and breakfast is included.

This workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to improve their photography, so photographers of all levels of experience are welcome. Whether you’re looking to discover new photographic locations, hone your compositional skills or a beginner looking to begin your photographic journey, I will take the time to improve your photography skillset and share valuable knowledge enabling you to create images you can be proud of.

Only a £200 deposit is required to secure your spot.
Remainder balance is due 8 weeks prior to start date.

The Programme

We’ll meet up at 2pm on Wednesday when we check in to the Causeway Hotel, and begin 5 incredible days exploring the many locations I know in the area. Our early morning sunrise locations will be close to the hotel, allowing us to take advantage of a hearty hotel breakfast and short break after the mornings session, then back out to explore some daytime long exposure locations followed by the more iconic sunset landmarks.

The itinerary for the workshop will be as flexible as possible, I’ll be keeping a close eye on weather apps and forecasts to ensure we have the best shooting conditions for specific locations. In order to maximise your chances of creating breathtaking images we’ll recact to the weather and tidal conditions, ensuring you are in the best spots to capture the Causeway Coast in it’s best light.

WORKSHOP ITINERARY

Our Causeway Coast Photography Workshop will have a flexible schedule with no fixed daily programme. Keeping a close eye on weather and tidal conditions, I will adapt & react to the weather, bringing you to the best locations in the best light to maximise your opportunities to capture amazing images. Our hotel is central to everywhere we will shoot with most places within 15-20 minutes but no location further than 30 minutes away.

Arrival day: meeting at 2pm to check into the Causeway Hotel, early dinner at the hotel before heading out for our sunset session.

Days 2 to 4: our daily schedule will begin with an early morning sunrise location followed by a hearty breakfast in our hotel. After a short break we’ll then head out to explore some daytime locations and learn to perfect our long exposure techniques. Lunch will be on the go to ensure we cover as many locations as possible. We’ll then have an early dinner around 4pm, aiming to arrive at our sunset location an hour prior to sunset, to scout out the best compositions and ensuring we capture the best light of the day.

Departure day: we will have another sunrise shoot nearby our hotel again followed by breakfast. We’ll then explore a hidden cove close to the hotel with a stone jetty and amazing cave. The workshop will conclude at 2pm.
